The pandemic has brought a drastic change in tourism, so the desire and willingness to travel has significantly decreased or changed. As we move into the post-pandemic world, the economic recovery will be long and challenging. SHARE 2 project aims to explore the impact of the pandemic on international tourism and to propose innovative management practices for heritage tourism destinations to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for cultural heritage visitors to Italy, Croatia, Spain, Hungary, Romania and the UK.
The project includes a detailed online survey of how the epidemic has changed tourism behavior and expectations, how people’s perceptions of risk have changed, how residents, domestic and foreign visitors are reacting to loosen restrictions, and how they have changed their mood to travel. The project also aims to gather existing good practices and strategies.
The participation of the Hungarian partner in the project is co-financed by the Hungarian Government.
