Pannon EGTC

Dear Visitor,

The Pannon EGTC (European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation), based in Pécs, was established on 31 August 2010. Its aim is to jointly develop the Hungarian, Croatian, and Slovenian border regions. The association currently has 53 members, including 6 counties (3 Hungarian, 3 Croatian), 40 local municipalities, 6 universities, and 1 regionally significant organization, the Danube-Drava National Park.

Our goal is the joint economic development of the border region, and our mission is to support the European integration of the Western Balkan countries.

Our main tools include extensive international partnership building and joint project development. We continuously prepare and implement international projects, focusing on economic development, tourism, environmental protection, and research.

The EGTC is an independent legal entity, which allows our organization to initiate and implement essential and gap-filling projects and investments for the region. We are currently working on several international projects and intend to continue this activity in the 2021–2027 period as well.

Our projects are implemented under various programs such as Interreg Europe, b-solutions, the Danube Region Programme, the Hungary–Croatia CBC Programme, the Slovenia–Hungary CBC Programme, the Visegrad Fund, and Resilient Borders. We also plan new projects within the Danube Region Programme, Interreg Central Europe, Horizon, CERV, EUKI, LIFE and other EU funding schemes.

Our most important task in 2020–21 was contributing to the preparation of the 2021–2027 HU–HR CBC Programme, actively participating in the planning of the Hungarian–Croatian cross-border programme of the upcoming EU programming cycle.
