Invitation to the closing event of our project "CrossMarkets - Institutional cooperation to enhance cross-border selling at local farmers' markets"
Pannon EGTC's "CrossMarkets - Institutional cooperation to enhance cross-border selling at local farmers' markets" project won in "B-solutions" call for proposals. The aim of the project is to find concrete (small-scale) solutions in the framework of the cooperation of the owners / operators of the local producer markets and the local farmers, in order to give both Hungarian and Croatian local producers the same opportunities on both sides of the Croatian-Hungarian border.
This requires exploring the current situation (legal, regulatory environment, day-to-day practice and the needs of the relevant actors), identifying areas for possible intervention, collecting, structuring and comprehensibly providing all information needed for local producers to sell on the other side of the border available in two languages, and finally to formulate policy recommendations based on experience to change the legal / regulatory environment.
The accompanying event of the conference is the regular “Regionalni Plac”, a special producer market that will be held four times this year, the current one being the last. The event will also include the sale, promotion and tasting of small-scale products. The exhibitors come from the counties of the region, as well as from Hungary and Slovenia. Another difference compared to a general market day is that the program is colored by both professional and entertaining performances.
